Outside the cottage, a neat little lawn with a gravelled area greets the guests, whilst the rear of the property boasts a wonderful suntrap with garden furniture. The surrounding terrain is truly of Co Roscommon, rolling countryside with lush green fields bordered by limestone walls. The bustling market town of Castlerea is a short distance away and boasts many pubs, shops and cafes. An excellent nine hole golf course awaits you on the outskirts of the town. The river Suck, an excellent coarse fishing river, flows through the town on its way to the mighty River Shannon. The area is home to many historical sites with some beautiful treks and trails. Take a day trip to Sligo, a coastal town on the Wild Atlantic Way, with its many attractions, galleries, seaweed baths, boat trips on Lough Gill, surfing and much more. Pay a visit to Lough Key Forest Park & Activity Centre at nearby Boyle, with its beautiful parkland, lake marina and restaurant. The picturesque Lough Gara is a short distance away and offers a scenic location to relax and explore. Cluny Cottage is a tranquil haven and will provide the ideal base to explore counties; Roscommon, Galway and Sligo. Let your adventure begin.
