Culture night is set to be a very exciting night this year. The festival will be officially opened by renowned poet and member of Aosdána, Peter Sirr. Peter will read from his latest collection, The Swerve. After that there will be an artist talk by contemporary local artist Bill Griffin accompanied by musician Deirdre Ní Dhonnachán and poet Niall O’Sullivan. This will be followed by music by West Cork musicians Martin Kearney and Derry Kennedy. Dance the night away to all the old-time Irish favourites, which promises to be great fun. Tea, sandwiches and cakes will be served during the night as they did in days of old.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland “National Tea Day” on Thursday May 2nd 2024, which was held in the bar, we are delighted to announce raised.

A huge thank you to Shona 0 Donoghue, Louise O’ Donoghue, Corinne Tim O Sullivan, and Ana Crespo for their delicious baking for the day.
To Mary Lotty, Monica Lynch and Oscar Baceiro of Monamar for their great support and for organising beautiful Quiche’s and delicious desert’s from “Cafe Pictic” on the day. Their was a Gluten Free option on all baking.

To Angela Garcia , Ana Crespo and Colette O Leary for helping us out on the day.

We held our first wedding last night since I took over management thanks to the beautiful couple Josh and Joanna. Thanks to my amazing staff, I’d be lost without you, both accommodation staff and restaurant staff. Very laid back casual wedding with great guests. Made my life easier. Menu was a little. Asian buffet thanks to our chef and kitchen crew 😍
