FAREWELL
So the END is near we are closing our B&B and starting another chapter of our lives.
We moved in on the 16th September 2000 the day before Doireann's 1st birthday.
It was built with blood, sweat (from Gene) and some tears (from me) over 2 years
21 years later we are moving on.
So many memories of our children's lives, all the guests that came through the door, all the parties and special occasions we celebrated here. The mad busy times and the quieter ones.
This move brings up so much emotion of the good times and the hard but we feel this is the right time for us to turn the page on this chapter.
We want to thank each and everyone of you that came through our door as paying guests from all over the world for the fun times and the cash. I have loved so much of this business none more than allowing me to stay home with my children. I never missed a thing they were in and for that I will be truly grateful forever. It was so interesting meeting new people every day and finding out their story. This really fascinated me. I will miss this so much.
Many we consider our friends for life.
Thanks for all the help given over the years to keep the show on the road, but 2 people have to get a special mention here, my mum and my dad. Without their enormous help I could not have done it. As I said to many people I needed my mum more as a adult than as a child. We are blessed to have them. One guest came back recently and asked where mum was as she said the last time she stayed she was doing everything, cooking, cleaning, minding kids and taking phonecalls
I will finish on the saying that Gene always said to every guest leaving our B&B
