Donegal Pub tours will take you on a 7 to 8 hour whirlwind tour of some of the most scenic parts of Donegal. Covering five to six pubs across the beautiful North West peninsula and sampling some of the County’s best music, food and craic with a few beverages and surprises along the way with the final stop dropping you to the town of Letterkenny, the hub of Donegal’s nightlife. Time between pubs approx. 15/20 minutes.
1. The first stop on our tour of Donegal will bring you to a location called Downingsthis lovely seaside resort is surrounded by superb beaches and scenic views and the home to a famous pub called “The Harbour Bar” which is situated in the heart of this picturesque town. Here you can have a pint for Dutch courage to kick-start the tour.
2. The bus will then take you all around the Atlantic Drive where you will experience some of the most breathtaking views in Ireland whilst hopping off at our second location also known as “The Singing Pub”.The singing pub resembles a traditional Irish cottage bursting with character and charm with its open turf fires.
3. On leaving this cosy little pub we will cross over The Harry Blaney Bridge looking over Mulroy Bay to bring us to “The Lighthouse Tavern”. The Lighthouse Tavern is the most northerly pub in Fanad, within walking distance of the stunning Fanad Lighthouse where you can stop off for your selfies and some group photos before hopping back onto our next hot spot.
