The art in Ashe St. brings a warmth and personal touch to this traditional streethouse, as only art can do. We love the eclectic mix we have gathered together, and we continue to add pieces when we see something that will be just perfect. From our Giles Norman vintage photographs to our Moroccan scene found in a local gallery in Essaouira...

It’s time for 5 Ashe St. to re-open its front door & welcome back guests old and new. We bid a sad farewell to Marta during Covid as she had more important business to take care of in the form of a bouncing baby boy🤎 We have been so fortunate to have had two sensational housekeepers on our Ashe St. journey & now we’re looking for someone to step into these shoes. Check our post below for more info - We’d love to hear from you.

We love the view of Tom Sheehy’s from the main bedroom nearly as much as we love the shop. We’ve bought lots of lovely things there over the years, including this bed!

Drombeg Stone circle is one of Ireland’s most visited megalithic sites. Just 18km from Clonakilty, Drombeg is therefore the perfect spin from Ashe St. Lunch in gorgeous Glandore is also a must! ,

We have a soft spot for the attic bedroom. Not only was it the first room we furnished, it also provides a gorgeous view at dawn + dusk.

We bought this little traditional street house late in 2015 and spent 2016 obtaining heritage permission and working with an architect and builder to renovate our 216 year old home. It has been a great pleasure for us and we hope you will enjoy staying here literally right in the centre of town.

We have enjoyed scouring the charity shops, second hand furniture stores as well as buying new things too, to furnish the house. We wanted to retain as many of the original features as we could along with creating a comfortable and safe place to stay with modern conveniences.

We hope the history of the house shows through, as it has many stories to tell. We have had some lovely conversations with guests and locals who have a connections to the house - long may it continue!
