Glorious Sunrise in Donegal this morning
Sunrise at Gweebarra Bridge this morning
The first bridge across the Gweebara was the one that still stands in Doochary. The first bridge across the estuary at this location was an iron bridge, a major feat of engineering for its day, this was replaced by the present day one in 1953. It is 600 ft long, and 30 ft wide, and was considered at the time one of the biggest feats of engineering in that part of the county.
Before the bridge a ferry ran from over on the old bends to Corr Point in Leitir.
Our passengers had a great tour today at The Crolly Distillery. It is well worth a visit if you haven’t been already!

Look who called into our yard yesterday for a visit. Bibby's of Ingleton Ltd are like ourselves a family run coach operator based in North Yorkshire in the UK. They are currently on tour in Donegal and called in yesterday for a quick hello. Their meticulously kept fleet with its distintive livery are a familiar sight in the UK so nice to see them in our home territory. As it happens we have a tour based in Yorkshire next month so we might return the favor🚌🟠🔵😀
