It's that time of year again, when young & old come together to enjoy the start of Christmas in Cobh 🎅
Once again our organising committee in Cobh Tourism along with Cobh & Harbour Chamber and Toddy Stafford and team with the help of funds from Cork County Council have put on an event to celebrate the light switch on 💡
There will be face painting, dancers from Sinéad Sheppard's School of Dance , performance by Colaiste Muire Cobh Glee Club, music from Cobh Band and DJ Dan from D2K Events Cork 🎶
Event starts from 3.30 pm
Light switch on at 5.30 pm

Great fun with visitors to Cobh trying out a cúpla focal as Cobh Tourism launched an Irish Language bookmark with useful phrases as Gaeilge. The weather certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits!
As we come to the end of another successful year for Tourism in Cobh, we would like to acknowledge the very many community groups that contribute to this success.
Cobh is fortunate to have world class tourism attractions, fantastic places to stay, restaurants and cosy Cafés, lively pubs, a quirky interesting and colourful streetscape and a town that is easy to get to. The Port of Cork brings fabulous cruise ships to our town and excursion providers give passengers a glimpse of the Irish landscape, history, way of life and hospitality.
But what makes a good Tourism Town great is the people who go above and beyond to make visitors welcome. Many of these work in tourism, but many others contribute as volunteers because they love where they live and see the value of making a visit to our town special and a wonderful experience that visitors will want to tell others about.
So THANK YOU to the Cobh Tourism Ambassadors, Cobh Animation Team , Cobh Tidy Towns , the staff of Cobh Tourist Office , cobh summer swing & the Board members of Cobh Tourism who organise so many events, Cobh Heritage Vintage Era and Cobh Confraternity Band Cobh Band and the committees of Cobh St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival & Cobh People's Regatta
Together we make our town Great !
