e The Bantry Blueway marked kayaking route. Scheduled departures of sea safaris, boat tours, kayak tours, sunset trips are available on our website and private guided trips can also be arranged. Get all the family on board our self-drive boats and let everyone take turn being the captain for the day. Great fun for all the family and trips are accompanied by a guide in a safety boat at all times. Kids Kayak Camps run from 10am-1pm over 3 days during the Easter & Summer holidays for children 8yrs+ who can swim. Fully qualified instructors accompany each group at all times. Whiddy Island and Bantry Bay Boat Hire! 🏝️🚤
We love showing our guests where we are from and the beautiful place that we call home. You can’t do a tour with us without learning about Whiddy Island and it’s history. It’s an important part of our local heritage. I’ve strong family links to the island, so it’s no wonder I promote it when I can through our tours!

The first photo is of a previous Whiddy Island Rowing team. In the centre you’ll find my grandfather, Con O’Sullivan (with hands crossed), along with other equally proud Whiddy men, past and present.

Most of our tours incorporate Whiddy in some form, whether it’s ending a kayak tour for some refreshments with Tim at the bar, heading out on a Seafood Tour for mussels, brown bread and Guinness or incorporating a guided walk on Whiddy after our Sea Safari.

For 2025 we are happy to let you know that our Sea to Shore- A Whiddy Island Tour is back for another season and bookable online (https://www.bantrybayboathire.ie/whiddyislandtour) or over the phone! This tour combines a boat tour with a walking tour on Whiddy and a stop-off at the old school house!
