From the start John was an amazing host. He gave us brilliant ideas of where to eat and go around the local areas. He showed us around the house and explained the heating and Internet. There was a table laid out ready for tea with complimentary cake. 2 bottles of wine were also supplied complimentary. Each bed has a large and small towel with shampoos and slippers. House was SPOTLESSLY clean. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. No faults. Would 100% stay again. Amazing host with amazing house.

We had a fantastic stay at John’s place. It’s brilliantly located for the Ballymaloe Cookery School, Ballymaloe House and Ballycotton and is a really large and stylish place with three decent bedrooms, three bathrooms (2 en-suite) and a large kitchen / living area and dining area. On arrival there some lovely welcome gifts which were very thoughtful. Definitely stay again and would recommend.

Travelling to cork from Derry to attend a wedding in the Garryvoe hotel we wanted to book somewhere near hand for all the family. From the intial booking Johns quick response to inform us there were taxis near by to take us to and from the wedding (which was only 5mins away) On arrival we were blown away by this amazing accommodation it was better than any hotel this also included two bottles of complimentary wine each room had towels slippers and bathroom amenities. The house was spotles there wasnt one thing we could fault. The farmhouse was local to shops and a near by town (Middleton) where we went and brought groceries which we cooked for everyone back at the house. There is wifi an a smarttv with Netflix, YouTube etc. John is a first class host we even stayed an extra night. We all couldnt recommend the shannagarry farm house enough for anyone coming to stay in the area. Such a modern clean and beautiful place. Thanks again John.

Nestled in the quiet country side of East Cork, you can be guaranteed a
peaceful and relaxing stay at The Farmhouse, Shanagarry.

The surrounding area has lots to offer. 5 minutes drive from the house you will
find Garryvoe Beach, Ballymaloe Cookery School, Ballymaloe House, Kilkenny Design Centre and the beautiful village of Ballycotton with its famous lighthouse guided tours and beautiful cliff walk. The house is also less than a 30 minute
drive to the town of Midleton and the Jameson Distillery.

Also close by are Fota Wildlife Park, The Titanic Experience Cobh, Spike Island andTrabologan Holiday Village.

Our newly built house sleeps 6 with 2 double rooms and one twin room, 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite). Enjoy a large and airy open plan living area with satellite TV and log burning stove. A separate dining area opens out onto a beautiful patio area complete with comfortable garden furniture ideal for those lazy summer evenings where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your surroundings.

The Kitchen area is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, an oven/hob, silverware,dish-ware, cookware and cooking utensils. The small utility area includes a washing machine andtumble dryer.

A free wifi connection is also included.
