Remember our Christmas walk is on this Saturday.
Leaving Bantry at 11 option to return at 3.45 or 5.45 or even stay over .
Details and cost in the previous posts on this page .
Just a few more things to add though we will be walking on a sheepshead loop so dogs not allowed I'm afraid,the walk is about 6.5 kms and some of it over fields so boots essential really, forecast looks good to book PM this page or contact me Tim on 0868626734.

Crib weather is here again putting up our traditional crib outside pub this week.

Taking it a bit easier this year doing it a bit different its been a long year so we are closing the Sunday before Christmas 22nd of December and just opening up for our guided walk on the 28th December places still available by the way . Opening again the first Sunday in January.

I know it's only November,but here in the Bankhouse we are determined to help people to survive the Christmas over indulgences and get ready to welcome the New Year by holding our tradional guided walk on Saturday 28th of December.
Ferries are leaving Bantry at 11. We will meet up outside Bankhouse and head off on the walk visiting the Old Schoolhouse, the Gun Battery built in 1803 and various other sites on the Island during the walk we will not only be taking in the scenery but also explaining the very rich and interesting history of the Island.
Then Back to a roaring fire in the Bankhouse where Refreshments and food will be available ferries are returning at 3.45
We have 2 options for participants the ferry fare and walk is €15 p.p .
Walkers also have the option of staying in the Schoolhouse accommodation for the night the cost of this option is€55 p.p.

No need to be at a loose end tomorrow night. Why not get a few friends together and make up a team of 4 and join us in the Bankhouse for our Quiz, all proceeds go towards helping our local crew compete in the Atlantic Challenge Regatta in Maine later this month .
Cost of €50 per team includes ferry quiz entry and half time snacks.
Great night assured ferry back after the quiz .
