One of Irelands best beaches?

Took a trip up north Donegal last weekend to photograph some locations that have been on my list for quite a while. Got an amazing sunrise at Fanad lighthouse then onto this beautiful beach for sunset. I don't usually insert myself into an image unless it really calls for it but this time I think it really helps to add scale to the image.

I will be posting some other options of this location soon.

💚💛Tullan Strand Bundoran & The Erne Estuary Ballyshannon💚💛

When the weather is cold, dull and grey you can always visit Tullan Strand to lift your spirits...and enjoy the fresh Donegal wind!

Tullan Strand, one of Donegal's renowned surf beaches, is a 2km beach stretching from the north end of Bundoran Town to the Erne Estuary at Ballyshannon.

You can follow the beach all the way to the estuary and into Ballyshannon (4 miles). Sand dunes are spectacular. It is also one of the best Seatrout fishing locations in the west coast of Ireland.

With the cat firmly out of the bag about our stunning county, we reckon we’re allowed to share just a few of our hidden gems. Like Narin-Portnoo Blue Flag beach, a hidden haven where friendly souls wander along its 2km stretch.

Lifeguards bid slán in August, yet the cove, guarded by Dunmore Head, remains a reliable defender against the chilly winter winds. Unbeatable for clearing the head after a few too many.
