Get ready for an unforgettable weekend in the Burren! The Burren Winterage Weekend is happening October 25th-27th, and you won’t want to miss it!

Savour local flavours and meet the chefs at the Burren Food Fayre, dive into a hands-on workshop on traditional cheese & butter making and check out the photography exhibition, farm walks and talks! Plus, enjoy live music, poetry, and dance at the Winterage Session!

One of the highlights of the weekend is the community cattle drive which sees farmers take their animals up to the hills for grazing over the winter months. The limestone rock of the Burren stores heat through the summer and releases it during the winter which explains the logic behind this ancient farming practice.
