Fuchsia Cottage, located in the heart of West Cork near Bantry and Skibbereen, has been lovingly renovated and offers an ideal base for your activities in the unique and fascinating environment of the Wild Atlantic Way's. Our concern was with some up to 80 cm thick stone walls to preserve the charm of the nearly 100 years old traditional farm house in the first place and equip with the comfort and
ambience of awakened at home feeling a comforting. So we were inspired on the one hand by the wonderful countryside and the omnipresent Atlantic. The cottage (perfect for 2-4 guests) is about a 10 minutes walk (3 minutes by car) from the centre of Drimoleague. All amenities such as pubs, several shops, a pharmacy and a Centra supermarket you can find there. Fresh baked goods and everything you need for your meals are offered in Centra. Despite the proximity and belonging to Drimoleague Fuchsia Cottage is surrounded by meadows and hills with a few scattered houses around. The amazing morning silence is just conducted by the calling of the birds (occasionally seagulls), and sometimes by sounds of the wind in the tree tops. There are cows, donkeys and horses in the farms nearby, lovely places for kids! Drimoleague with its Drimoleague Walkways is an ideal starting point for hiking. You will get to several destinations of the Atlantic Ocean within about 30 minutes (please see our recommendations), with splendid views, water sports opportunities and much more. After an impressive day you can find in Fuchsia Cottage relaxation at your own convenience. Behind the house, in a private setting, you invite an outdoor sauna and a hot-tub. Take a rest on a sunlounger, enjoy a coffee or a barbecue! Let the sunset works its magic in the light-flooded annex, where you will find space for playing cards or games, or simply enjoy a glass of wine! (Yes, there are indeed wonderful sunny days in Ireland!)
