We are excited to announce that Daniel Serra from Sweden, culinary archaeologist and author of An Early Meal, will give talks and run workshops at the festival this year. Daniel, an expert in his field, has lectured across Europe and the US and this is a one off chance to see and learn from him at Slane. You will also be able to purchase his books which are a great source of knowledge and appreciated by viking era enthusiasts worldwide.

Here we go!

Dust off those hiking boots because we are back with our first group walk of 2025! Join us and Boyne Valley Walking on Sunday 2nd February for this Round Mountain Loop Walk.

This 11km walk is a great introduction to hill walking, moderately challenging with a mixture of terrain, its sure to blow off the cobwebs and (fingers crossed) give us some stunning coastal views, weather permitting.

Paul is the lead singer with Glasgow Irish Folk “N’ Roll outfit The Wakes who have played venues across Europe including a headline show in the famous Barrowlands Ballroom in their home town. Paul and the Wakes have shared the stage with Damien Dempsey and Billy Bragg. 🔥🔥
