A stunning shot of Dunguaire Castle in Kinvara, at the edge of the Wild Atlantic Way and with the unmistakable Burren Mountains in the background. Water so still, that it looks like a sheet of glass! One of the most picturesque Irish castles and well worth a visit.

Visit Bective Abbey with Irish Private Tours https://www.boynevalleydaytours.com/bective.htm

The remains now visible at Bective Abbey date mainly from the 13th to 15th centuries. They include the church, chapter house and cloister.
The cloister ruins are particularly Well-preserved and feature pointed, gothic arches typical of Cistercian architecture.
Can you imagine what an impressive and important site this would have been back in the 1300's!
The Abbey is free to visit and also has a carpark.

Monea Castle outside Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. The castle was completed in 1618 by Reverend Malcolm Hamilton, during the Ulster Plantation which accounts for the castle's Scottish style. In 1750 the castle was gutted by fire and abandoned. There is a Beech lined avenue leading to the castle similar to the more famous Dark Hedges.
