Great Girly day out for my baby today! Started off with the fabulous Christine in @sugardollsnailbar Tallaght getting her ready for her day. Then meeting her Auntie and favourite cousin and spending the day shopping in Dundrum. Just missing her BT bag as her Lindt bear got a quick death as soon as we came home. Now she’s “chilling” in her new jammies and face mask absolutely winning and loving life.
This morning Calum received a very well overdue haircut. A hair cut for an autistic can be a harrowing experience. Calum had a barber he liked, trusted, knew his hair and did a great job but sadly last year he moved away. We haven’t been able to find another that he felt comfortable with and actually listened to what he wanted, until NOW. Sharon is a sensory barber/hairdresser that will come to your home and cut your or your child’s hair in their own environment. Yesterday Sharon sent me two pictures of herself which you can use in a social story if that’s needed. She went at a pace Calum was happy with, talked him through it and actually listened to what he wanted and explained things to him. We have definitely found our new barber in Sharon and I couldn’t recommend her enough.
