I had the opportunity to spend a few lovely days at Sheephaven Bay in County Donegal and to visit Shandon Hotel & Spa.

About 2 weeks since we came back from a lovely, last minute family holiday 🥰
📖 Long story short, the originally booked Bulgarian holiday got cancelled - yes, it happens to the best of us 😅 - so I decided to book Hotel Tahití Playa in Santa Susanna, on the Costa Brava.
✈️ We flew to Girona Airport, it is about 40 minutes drive from Santa Susanna. Flight was a lot less expensive than to Barcelona and much closer too. I always suggest to my clients to fly to Girona if the destination is the Costa Brava. Girona is a small, hassle free airport.
🚕 I booked a private transfer, as I always do. Generally speaking, I have no faith in coach transfers, rightly so. I have met 2 couples in the hotel, telling me that some of their luggages went missing during the coach drop offs and a mum with her 6 years old daughter complained about an almost 4 hours journey from Barcelona airport to Santa Susanna. Clearly, they did not book with me ☺️
⛱️ We had such a lovely experience at Hotel Tahití Playa. The only hotel in Santa Susanna with direct access to the beach. Where all the rooms have balcony and you have the option between normal rooms and Suites. There is no All Inclusive option, but you can choose from B&B, half board and full board. The kitchen serves homemade cooked meals. Lot of fresh salad, vegetables, fruits, and all types of fish and meat. They always made sure to have pizza, pasta and french fries for the little guests too 🍕🍝🍟😏
🧘🏽♀️💃🕺 We found the entertainment great with live music in some evenings. There were different activities during the day, such as yoga and pilates classes, beach football, darts competition and a lot more.
🌈🫧 Mini Club for children is available twice a day. Our almost 4 years old absolutely loved it. They also have a small playground on site. Kids were playing there for hours, while parents and grandparents were able to relax beside the pool.
They also have Mini Disco every Frida
