Fallow deer in the Phoenix Park.
One of the largest enclosed parks in Europe, Phoenix Park is home to a herd of deer, the Irish Presidents mansion and Dublin Zoo. It has also hosted many events over the years, including Grand Prix races, a mass said by Pope John Paul the second and many concerts featuring the likes of The Red Hot Chill Peppers, Snoop Dog, Kanye West, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.

Due to last night's disturbing events in Dublin City centre and planned 'protests' over the weekend, tours have been suspended until Monday. All customers will be advised by email. The safety and well being of our guests is a priority. Our thoughts are with the victims and families involved in yeseterdays horrific assault and also with those effected by last night's disgusting acts of destruction and violence throughout the city. The perpetrators of these mindless acts do not represent the majority of Dubliners or Irish people. Stay safe this weekend.

A much overlooked monument in Dublin is the Steine. Located beside Pearse Street Garda station, the Steine is a replica of the original Viking age monolith which stood in the area when the sea came a lot more inland. The original was destroyed in the 18th century. Pictured here is the carving in the Steine of Ivar The Boneless, first Co-King of the Kingdom of Dublin in the 800's.

A favourite of travellers to Dublin. Christ Church Cathedral. Originally built by Norse-Gael King of Dublin, Sigtrygg Silkbeard, overlooking the old Viking settlement. Rebuilt in stone in the 12th Century by the Anglo-Normans and renovated to it's current form in the 17th Century. It contains a wealth of history and is well worth a visit!
*Pictured is the synod hall of Saint Michaels and the archway across Whinetavern Street that connects to the main cathedral.

Iñigo & Mikel, from our Basque group tour today, in front of the Jeanie Johnston. A replica of the original ship, which between 1848 and 1855, made 16 voyages to North America, sailing to Quebec, Baltimore, and New York. Taking people out of the Great Hunger to a new life in Canada and the U.S. On average, the length of the transatlantic journey was 47 days. The most passengers she ever carried was 254, from Tralee to Quebec on 17 April 1852. To put this number in perspective, the replica ship is only licensed to carry 40 people including crew.
