At the Malthouse Design Centre we are offering fully fitted studio space, with backup workshop space and stores to newly establishing and small scale existing furniture and product designers. This is structured space with collective support of the all the designers involved with ongoing mentoring from Greg Tisdall & Arthur Duff who each have over 20 years experience in the design and furniture ind
ustry. The key selling point of the centre is that there will be a permanent exhibition and retail space staffed by the memebers of the centre to actively market and sell their products directly to the public and potential buyers, from home and abroad. A key feature of the centre is that for the first time in Dublin there will be a dedicated specialist enterprise centre focused on furniture and product design. Our inner city location provides sustainable space within easy reach of public transport. The space will be self subsidised to the extent that successful and commercially focused designers can use the space to work and to generate income from the sales of their products in the store. The exhibition space will host a number of key exhibitions on a regular basis to maintain the profile of the centre. The Malthouse Design Centre currently has 600 sq.m. of space with potential for a further 400 sq.m. adjoining. There are already a number of designers, architects, media and furniture companies operating from the Centre since the last 2 years. Becoming a member:
