If you’re visiting the area and fancy a day trip the Assaranca waterfalls and the Maghera caves and beach are 40mins drive from Dungloe. These pics won’t do the beach any justice .. it was rainy but we all know the beaches in Donegal are beautiful but this one is really special. Lots of caves if you get there when the tide is out. You can go quite deep into one of them , lots of rock pools , crabs , dunes the beach is surrounded by rolling hills and rocky peaks. It’s really amazing. NB - There’s a 3euro charge to park - which is unusual because on any Donegal beach but I think you’ll find it’s well worth it. The drive there was also really gorgeous.

Lake House on the west coast of Donegal. Mt Errigal a 20min drive from Dungloe , it’s a must see if you’re visiting the area , so many beautiful areas around it , Dunlewey, The stunning Poison Glen , not too far from Glenveagh National Park and Beautiful white sandy beaches. Another lovely review. Despite the rain ☔️ it is still possible to unwind and watch the world go by even from indoors. The Rosses which is our corner of Donegal has some of the most unspoiled landscapes you’ll ever see, our coastline is beautiful, but we also have some fantastic little islands very close by for day visits . This is Aranmor island there is a ferry ⛴️ boat from Burtonport pier about 10 mins drive from Dungloe . So much to offer in county Donegal for hikers, sightseeing, fresh sea air and escapism.

If you’re looking for stunning scenery on the golf course- you won’t find a more spectacular course than Cruit island golf course in West Donegal!!! It’s very affordable by comparison to other courses and completely unique. As August approaches it will be hotting up but the sea breeze will be amazing. gov stay in Dungloe the Lakehouse as a perfect base with lake views

Always lovely reviews , which is so heartwarming. We’ve put our heart and soul into creating a holiday home that is a relaxing space , that has all your home comforts and is of a high standard. It’s spotlessly clean and newly renovated since last year. Large kitchen diner and utility room, master ensuite , king room with smart Tv and wash hand basin , twin room and double room , sleeps 8. We are so proud of our review scores . We are still quite new to renting out our holiday home. We appreciate all feedback and are constantly trying to find ways to improve for next time.
