Just a little update on availability over the coming months for private group bookings up to 27 guests.The wend of the 28th of June, 6th July and the 2nd of Aug(a cancellation) are available for private bookings. Next available wend after this is the 13th of Sep. You won’t be disappointed with our venue as our reviews will tell. 🎊🎁

We are looking forward to welcoming back our lovely Easter group tomorrow. Think this could be their 13th Easter with us. The Barn is almost ready all that’s left to do is for the kids to decorate it when they arrive. Django, CJ and O’Mahony are so excited! Just one more sleep boys! It will be O’Mahony’s first Easter with the gang🐾🐾Happy Easter everyone.

We are so happy to welcome Patrick Casale and his guests back to The Old Deanery for St Patrick’s wend. Everything kicked off yesterday with a gorgeous welcome party from BTS cakes, then a trip to our wine cellar for Prosecco and Guinness followed by a delicious dinner by Tuan Naleem and that’s just day! Oops forgot to mention a seriously amazing Birthday cake for one of our guest thanks to Sweet Passion Dessert Camolin👏👏🇮🇪🇮🇪

It’s been an incredibly busy 6 weeks spring cleaning and preparing to reopen for the season. We could not do all this without the help of an army of professionals. Special thanks to E. Corrigan for the new floor in the Barn, Carpet Doc, Spotless Windows, D&M Laundrette, John & Larry Dunne for all things electric and plumbing, Bleach Buddies contract cleaning and last but not least to Mick R. for everything and anything and Ellen K for the years of commitment to The Old Deanery. Looking forward to welcoming our first group in tomorrow.

Introducing our new boy O’Mahony. A new brother for CJ and Django. He’s settling nicely and loves running in the garden with his brothers. O’Mahony can’t wait to meet all our 2024 guests. Won’t be long now🐾🐾🐾

It’s been a tough summer trying to keep the gardens looking well. Some much rain has made grass cutting impossible for weeks on end. Finally after a little sunshine earlier this week we have made some progress! Even the window boxes have perked up. Hopefully there is more sunshine to come.

What a great time to go green! Our new solar panels are up and running and the sun is beaming down on them. We hope to produce enough electricity to cover The Old Deanery needs and also to sell back to the grid. Everything looks so much better in the sun! Even CJ getting in on the act!

It is with a very heavy heart we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Pongo this week. He was almost 14 years old. His heart was strong but his body gave up. His brothers Django and CJ have not eaten since Tue. They are so lost it’s heartbreaking. You were a fantastic boy Pongo and will be missed forever. ❤️😘

Wow, last weekend was a busy one! We had a gorgeous Hen party in. The wend kicked of with a Prosecco reception in our Wine cellar followed by delicious catering from Phelim Byrne and Diane. After Amazing Mossy then got the girls singing in the Barn. Sat morning lovely breakfast platters arrived from The Courtyard Ferns. The Afternoon Tea party from Amanda & Caitriona b.t.s_cakes
was superb. Then the extremely talented tracymurphy_millinery helped the girls create wonderful flower crowns. Dinner in the library Courtyard Ferns was excellent with breakfast platters Sun am before the girls went home. Many thanks to all the suppliers for creating a wonderful wend.

Today we reopened for our first group of 2023. It’s been a busy 6 weeks refurbishing and spring cleaning. Now all the group have to do is enjoy their weekend at The Old Deanery! Even the spring flowers came out to welcome our guests. Looking forward to welcoming many more group this year.

have 2 wends available in Sep for a private group bookings. Imagine your own private venue with function room, The Barn, out bar and covered area and Prosecco reception in our wine cellar. TIme to getting planning.

As you know there is never a dull moment here at The Old Deanery. We have started to remove the old cement plaster off the last exterior wall of the house. It’s never ending but we are ensuring the house will be around for another 287 years!
