We took a day off the road yesterday to join for our annual pre-season get together. It was a lovely day to share ideas and updates and lash out some crispy new blue jackets!
After lunch, we popped down to our friends at Saint Nicholas' Collegiate Church, Galway for an exciting update on their new menu of tours, and an update on their renovation project. Some very cool and exciting new developments for Galway's tourism offering 😊
Even if you're a local who walks past it every day, pop in and get yourself onto one of their guided tours - Well worth the time, especially when it's lashing rain and you're looking for something to do in town!

DELIGHTED that our friends at Kylemore Abbey are finally able to open back up tomorrow! 🚐🥳🏰 Our daily Connemara Day Tours recommence tomorrow 🥳 (Just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend 😅)

We are thrilled to announce that Kylemore Abbey will be OPEN from 10am tomorrow, Friday, January 31st!

We have missed welcoming visitors to the estate and cannot wait to finally reopen our gates after nearly a week of closure. While some of our woodland trails will remain closed for the next few days as we ensure the pathways are safe, there is still so much to explore!

We look forward to welcoming you all back to Kylemore Abbey from 10am🎉

Yesterday we were delighted to attend the 2025 Marketing Plan Launch in Dublin.
The annual event is a highlight of January, meeting colleagues from around the county with a passion for sharing this mighty little island with the world and also catching up with our local friends with grá mór (big love) for the West.

We’re heading off on our staff party for the day! Last year we all went out into Connemara for the day, and two years ago we went to Inis Oirr for the day. Today, we’re all heading south into the Burren.

So just for today, we won’t be running any tours and our ticket office and phone lines will be taking a rest. We’ll be back at it again tomorrow morning 👍👍

Today Fire and Rescue Galway are taking on the challenge of rowing 46km in aid of Cancer Care West 🎗️🚣🌊

The Firefighters will row a traditional Irish currach that they have spent the last six months building from scratch. This project is entirely voluntary with firefighters dedicating their own time to make this happen.

They will be rowing in the Corrib, so be sure to stop by the University of Galway Playing Fields in Dangan and support them today 👏
