We had the most wonderful experience! Bríd was a lovely host and guide. She was knowledgeable and friendly. She took the time to make recommendations for our 5 year old and wasn’t wrong. We truly had the best time!

Happened by Stephen after getting off a ferry into Inis Oírr and boy were we lucky for it! He was just delightful and we learned so much about a truly fascinating place. We toured all around the island and stopped at all the neat spots, like St. Kevin’s, O’Briens Castle, the shipwreck, seal colony and more! He knew how to work it all in to be back by our ferry call time. It was raining that day so it was especially nice to be in a van as opposed to the horse carts (which were pretty cool too, just a matter of preference). Whole group listed Stephen as a highlight when we talked about our favorite parts of the trip. Thank you, Stephen!

What a great decision to hop on this wagon tour! The driver and daughter of the owner was incredibly informative and brought us closer to appreciating this beautiful island and culture. I learned and saw so much. Highly recommend😍

Inis Oirr ~. Where time stands still.

We travelled to Inis Oirr last week as a family. We have been to the Island a couple of times previously, and had visited the famous Island landmarks on foot, taken photos but knew very little of the Island history.
We heard about the Wanderly Wagon tour from friends who said the tour was a must.
They were right!!!
Revisiting the landmarks with the amazing native ‘Wanderly Wagon’ tour guide ‘Aisling’ made the trip extra memorable. Aisling enlightened us about the Island history as she effortlessly navigated the tour bus around the narrow ‘boreens’. The tour stops at the Plassey Wreck, St Caomhan’s Church and O’Brien’s Castle. We finished the tour with a real sense of awe for the Island forefathers and their daily struggle to create the present day 3km x 3km enchanting home to a few hundred permanent resident.
If you plan to visit and experience the enchanting and peaceful atmosphere of Inis Oirr, book the Wanderly Wagon tour. It takes roughly an hour which will leave you extra time to relax on the island’s sandy beach and swim in the clear turquoise waters,
or to soak up the atmosphere in the local bars, restaurants and coffee shops. You might even hear a tune or two 🎶.

Amazing experience!

This was SO much fun! Stiofán, our driver and tour guide, was very charming and knowledgeable. The island is really interesting and beautiful and I'm very grateful that the residents are so welcoming to tourists who invade their small community every summer. The Irish hospitality is heart-warming and our host was no exception. Highly recommend! (Bring dramamine or sea bands for the ferry ride so you can enjoy the tasty snacks eaten in the sea air!)
