Galway County Council, supported by Cunnane Stratton Reynolds, is launching an exciting project to explore your priorities to help shape the future of the much loved Rinville Park in Oranmore. Throughout the remainder of 2025, the project team will be active in Oranmore getting in touch with local community groups and users of the Park. This is an opportunity to share your views on what you love about Rinville and what improvements can be made to the area. A number of engagement events are planned beginning in early July. The first event will be to meet with the community on Thursday 3rd July from 2.00pm to 7.00pm at Oranmore Library, Main Street, Oranmore. All members of the community are invited to come along to find out more about the project and share their views on Rinville Park.

🕯️ Galway Hospice Remembrance Service – Tonight at 7.30pm

This evening, we gather for our Multidenominational Remembrance Service to honour and remember 205 people who passed away under our care between 1st January and 31st March.

The service takes place in St. Oliver Plunket's Church at 7.30pm and you are warmly invited to join us online at www.galwayhospice.ie/remember

During the service, we will light a candle for each person — a symbol of connection between our team and the families and loved ones we’ve supported.

We hold each name in our hearts tonight. May they rest in peace. 💚

Worthy local charity benefits from fundraiser. Well done all

On June 7th, OMCSU were thrilled to attend the Mayoral Ball in the Raheen Woods Hotel,hosted by Cllr. Martina Kinane.

Cllr Kinane has been a wonderful supporter of OMCSU over the years and generously nominated our Unit to be one of two charity partners for the event.

Last week, Joan Dempsey and George Curley accepted a cheque on behalf of OMCSU for an incredible €9837.30

A heartfelt thanks to all who bought tickets and indeed supported this event.
