Following on from the Powerboat Run which took place on 19th October 2024 the committee was delighted to present a cheque to Cancer Fund for Children for a total value of €2,600.00

Funds raised will be used towards build costs for Daisy Lodge 4 Mayo which is scheduled to commence in the coming months!

The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all personnel involved and our main sponsors of the event!

We are incredibly excited to invite you to the launch of Wednesday 2nd October, a project funded by , sponsored by Conroy Group and

Two installations will be erected on Kilbeg and Knockferry Piers, only 471 metres apart on Lough Corrib as part of the and festivals. You can visit the piers anytime from 7pm to 10pm on Wednesday 2nd and up until 10pm all evenings until Sunday 6th. We think its best viewed near dusk.

We've had the privilege of working with almost 50 young people from Clydagh and Claran schools to the east side of Lough Corrib, and Collinamuck and Roscahill schools to the western shore of the lake. Exploring the piers, Collinamuck Bog, Aughnanure Castle and Ross Errilly Friary with creative workshops inspired by the built, natural and cultural heritage of Lough Corrib, including lacemaking with , ecology with Jen Cunningham and Corrib Beo and wonder of Ballycurran Lighthouse.

The fieldtrips, workshops and installations were created in close collaboration with the very talented and Corrib Beo, with support from the four schools, , , , Margie McNamara of St Fursas Historical Society, the team in Aughnanure Castle, and .

Special thanks to Lough Corrib Navigation Trust , O Connell Scaffolding and Shane Corrigan Carpentry for helping us realise the vision created by the young people living near Kilbeg and Knockferry.
