Family Constellation work may help one by restoring healthy flow and ease in life once more. It is an approach for revealing the hidden dynamics in a family
so that generations of suffering can be worked with and healed. It helps uncover the source of chronic conditions, illnesses and emotional difficulties that
may have roots in the inter-generational family system, rather than the individual, and may be connected to a key stress event that was too overwhelming to
be integrated in the past. The workshop enables the client to let go of past entanglements and move into a life more fully their own.
WHEN IS FAMILY CONSTELLATION WORK INDICATED?
If your child is telling you what to do or trying to fix you as if they were your parent and not the other way around;
If you feel as if you always take on far more than you can handle in life โ getting embroiled in other peoplesโ problems and difficulties;
If you feel as if your spouse expects you to be their parent;
If you have a difficult relationship with your mother and now see the pattern repeating itself with your own daughter;
If your child always act out aggressively or seems stuck or is not thriving like the others in some way;
If you have deep sadness/fear/anxiety/shame that cannot be traced back to any lived experience and no matter how much work you do on it, you seem to be stuck with it;
If you see patterns of unexplained illness/misfortune/injustice affecting your family down through the generations;
If you always feel disconnected from really feeling part of your own life โ like an outsider on the fringes of your own existence;
If you have distanced yourself from your family of origin and its difficulties and yet feel stuck in some unexplainable way โ feeling the tug of invisible burdens;
If you feel stuck in the past, caught in a never-ending loop of analysis and paralysis, unable to get on with your life?
If you long for a healthy relationship, yet despite your best efforts, feel doomed to a life without a partner;
Is there a history of addiction, early deaths, su***de... in your family; (This work can get beneath the radar to reveal the pull of unhealthy entanglements and patterns that are affecting the system unconsciously.)
If you find that no matter where you go, everyone, expects you to take all the responsibility and have all the answers to the point where you feels one has to be superhuman;
If you have written off a member of your family as being cruel and contemptuous and feel they were not a good parent/sibling;
If you feel life owes you something and that everyone else has got a better deal than yourself;
If you feel ungrounded, easily overwhelmed, and sabotage yourself at every turn;
If you are the black sheep who feels lumbered with all the negativity in the fold.....
It is possible to constellate virtually any issue. It does not have to be family-related. It could be a work situation, a health issue or any relationship one has with someone or something else, even money!
The work is fascinating and gives one a "birdโs eye view " of the situation which can be very revealing and can often offer a perspective that one could not see on oneโs own.
