The Lacken Gazebo is the most mysterious monument you'll find in The Céide Coast.

The ' Lacken Gazebo' is located on the Castle Lacken estate was built around 1794 for the landlord Sir John Roger Palmer who lived in Castlelacken Demesne.

It's on the Lacken Trail route where you can also see the amazing Rathlackan Court Tomb.

The Gazebo was built in 1794 by Sir John Palmer. At that time the gentry used to picnic here and admire the magnificent views of the stunning seascape and surrounding landscape. The gazebo over looks the castle ruin of Castlelakan and on a clear day Benbulbin and the mountains of Killybegs in Donegal can be seen.
