COVID
Infections
Spain cumulative incidence last 14 days per 100,000 of the population: 131.3 (down from 198.25 last week). Of the 17 regions of Spain, 16 now have incidence rates under 200, and 9 under 150. In Galicia the incidence is 131.13 (down from 217.93 last week). The 14 day incidence rate is also under 200 for all age groups. [Health Ministry update number 460, 10/09/2021]
Hospitalisation
There are currently 4,975 people in hospital with Covid in Spain (down from 6,245 last week). 1,227 of these patients are in ICU. This represents 13.37% ICU occupancy, a further 2.5% decrease on last week. In Galicia 38 of the 141 patients are in ICU (5.07% ICU occupancy).
VACCINATIONS
78.2% have received one vaccine dose in Spain, and 73.9% have received the “pauta completa”. In Galicia, 84.1% have received one dose and 78.7% the pauta completa - 2nd highest of the 17 regions in terms of vaccination rates, just behind Asturias. [Health Ministry update, 10/09/2021]
