Rosemary , sage, mint, fennel, lemon balm and oregano now. There will be more later.

The TLC is happening the 29th of March, 10am to 12pm, Good Friday. Make it a Great Friday by coming out to help clean up our beautiful town. Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be available from Scoil Pol, Kilfinane, Co Limerick at 10am. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please support and spread the word!

Regulations have been introduced that will allow local authorities to use CCTV and drones to tackle illegal dumping and flytipping.
Having campaigned for this for a number of years, hopefully this will send a clear message to illegal dumpers that it will not be tolerated.

Great news! Results are in... Kilfinane Tidy Towns up 12 points in the national competition. This is due to the very hard work that our amazing Kilfinane Tidy Towns committee did and continue to do every week! Congratulations to you all!

Kilfinane Tidy Towns were unsuccessful in the Live95fm Going for Gold Competition on Thursday... we didn't receive enough votes... disappointed! Thanks to everyone who voted. Oola were the winners this week.

Hi folks, a member of Tidy Towns will be painting Tom Keefes (old butchers) on High Street at 11am tomorrow (Monday 29th) and would greatly appreciate any help at all. A half hour or an hour would be great. If you can please come in old clothes and bring a brush! Please share as many hands make light work!

Call down to the community orchard and herb garden (opposite Barrett autocraft and the grotto) anytime between 4pm and 5pm TODAY and see the work being done. Veronica Sa****um -Art and Environment will be sowing flaxseed (líon) as part of a grow your own clothes investigation. Volunteers are invited to join in and grow a square metre at home. There will be a meitheal day in the autumn to come together and process the flax to linen.

Flax is of course of historic importance to Kilfinane and the surrounding areas as it was grown and made into linen locally.

What a fantastic girl! Thank you Shauna Hayes for helping to keep our town tidy! Plans are underway to stop the pesky crows pulling out the rubbish from the bins so watch this space!

The local crows love to pull out the rubbish every morning in the search for some food & leave a big mess on the street . Can someone in the locality volunteer their time and skill to make the openings smaller ??
