Irish blood transfusion service will have a blood donation clinic in the hall on Thursday 31st October from 3.50-8pm.
Blood supplies are currently low and they are looking for current and new donors to donate. Call 1800222111 to book an appointment.
Rules have changed in recent years and people that weren't eligible before (like those that lived in the UK) may now be eligible. If you are unsure you can call and ask, if you'd like to sign up as a new donor call 1800222111 to sign up.

We are thrilled to share that BoatTrips.ie has successfully acquired the beloved barge, Freedom On The Water (Saoirse ar an Uisce), through a competitive tendering process by Kildare County Council. Our goal is to have this much-loved vessel back in action on the beautiful River Barrow in Athy by next summer, offering scenic trips once more. Having been involved with the barge in its early days and helping to establish it in Athy, I am delighted that we can now ensure its continued presence in the town. A heartfelt thanks to everyone whose support was instrumental in making this possible—you know who you are! While there is plenty of work ahead to get everything ready, we’re excited for the journey.
