After a very busy summer of tours and tournaments things are starting to quiet down but to end the summer with a bit of a bang today I was filming with Carina and Farah from Sweden for their show Drömlandet (Dreamland). Wow! What a weekend at Timahoe Heritage Festival. Big thanks to everyone who came by for a chat and to get pictures with all the Medieval kit. Also massive thanks to Fragarach Armoured Combat for all the help over the weekend and Caroline Breathnach for all the photos. Kilkenny is such a beautiful medieval city and what way is better to experience it than a guided tour through the most history soaked parts by a guide who comes in an authentic functional suit of armour! He had such an in dept knowledge of the city and its unique history I must recommend this tour! I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish and Dylan recommended a wonderful restaurant for us to eat in afterwards, he truly knows his city!

All About Knight For Hire

Hi, I’m Dylan, The Knight For Hire. I am a qualified tour guide doing walking tours of Kilkenny dressed in armour. You’ll often find me around the Parade and Canal square. The main goal of my tours is to have fun and maybe learn some history on the way. While I failed history in school, I came to love it later in life after training to fight in armour and taking part in competitions as part of medieval armoured combat Ireland, so I have a unique perspective on history to share.
