Thanks everyone for coming to Saturdays event ‘A Woolly Celebration Day’ at Kate Kearney's Cottage.

We were humbled to see that many people popping by and the workshop and film screening being booked out.

We are delighted to be hosting the Kerry Premiere of the documentary : NOTES FROM SHEEPLAND at Kate Kearney's Cottage on the 9th Nov.

The documentary bursts with candid observations of lipstick-wearing, always swearing, no nonsense, artist and shepherd, Orla Barry. Through her fields, her digital diaries, and the pedigree sheep she cares for, we discover how the art is in the doing.

This film will be shown at 3pm in The Barn at Kate Kearneys Cottage. The screening is free but you must register. Link in bio for tickets.

The Wise Wool Project will be having a celebration of all things Irish Wool at in the Gap of Dunloe.

This is a free event. Our intention is to bring together Sheep farmers, Artists and the community to better understand how to create something from this valuable resource that has been going to waste in Ireland.

K-FEST Kids Felting Workshop 🐑

Wise Wool project will be offering a wet felting workshop at K-fest. Wise wool project is a newly formed project to bring awareness to the wool waste in Ireland. Kerry and Lisa will offer a workshop on wet felting for children aged 6+. They will share the value of wool as they teach the little ones how to wet felt raw wool together to make a square wall decoration.

This is a closed workshop. We will all start together with a chat about wool, and then we will teach step by step how to create a wet felting piece.
