When you take some of the back roads of Ireland you will find old burial sites .During a tour of County Galway which includes The Connemara National Park , I came across this very old burial site . Most of the graves were marked with small stones most likely from the time of the Irish Famine .

Some of our lovely villages are now full of wonderful houses that are no longer inhabited. I just love this door in the seaside village of Waterville on the Ring of Kerry .
The history of the layers of paint the stain glassed window and of course the door handle . What a story this door could tell .
