Had an amazing day today out at sea. We were lucky on both our trips today to see the humpback whale up close. Had to go a little of track but it was well worth it. Plenty of dolphins also.

Killybegs welcomes the Nautica cruise ship tomorrow. We are sailing our harbour cruise tomorrow at 11.45 and 2.30 to get the best view. The harbour cruises is a lovely one hour long trip, bringing in 2 lighthouses and the salmon fish farm and a close up of the fishing trawlers at the piers.

Once again we are offering a boat trip for just €15 at this years Killaghtee Festival.

Now taking place at 6pm on Sunday 1st September, leaving from Killybegs, the tour will once again head out to St. John’s Point for some fantastic views of Killaghtee and the surrounding area.

Tickets from the postponed trip on 25th August are valid on this trip.

​We will be using the bigger boat of Atlantic Coastal Cruises. The trip will be 2 hours long, with entertainment, refreshments and bar.

(€1 online booking fee). Event is in partnership with the Local Authority Waters Programme.

We had a lovely chat with RTE Radio 1 presenter Vincent Woods earlier today on the pier. Talking all things Killybegs, fishing & marine tourism for the new show which will be aired next month. Looking at all the positive possibilities coastal towns have to work towards.
