At the back of Dolly’s cottage is ‘Queen Maeve’s Trail’ it follows a well constructed path way up to her burial site or cairn on top of Knocknarea on the Coolera peninsula.

Maeve was Beautiful, a warrior and Queen of Connaught for 60 years. It is said she is buried upright in facing her enemies in Ulster!

We hiked Ben Bulben, Queen Maeve’s trail and Coney Island. Sligo is impressive and so are these lovely Women from Enniskerry 💕
