Reiki Complementary Therapy Clinic at the National Maternity Hospital

Did you know that The National Maternity Hospital (NMH), Holles Street, Dublin 2 runs a Reiki Complementary Therapy Clinic?

According to their information leaflet, “Parents of babies in Neonatal ICU, bereaved mothers, stressed patients, etc., may find benefit from a relaxing complementary therapy called Reiki which can be provided in conjunction with medical treatment. Reiki Federation Ireland (RFI) offers free Reiki sessions to the NMH patients”.

I continue to have links with the Reiki Federation of Ireland and first held Professional Membership with them in 2016. The federation is a voluntary organisation which works to promote high standards of Reiki training and practice. It also aims to foster and nurture the understanding and the practice of Reiki as a healing modality.

Distant Reiki can be sent via a Reiki Practitioner to a person who is not physically beside them. It is just as effective and facilitates receiving reiki from someone you feel confident in, even if they are not located nearby.

Our Card of the Day is from the Major Arcana part of the Guardian Angel Messages Tarot Deck by Radleigh Valentine and artist Dan Craig. The Major Arcana deals with major life events. In the traditional Rider - Waite Tarot deck, this card was called "The Tower".

In the image of the card we can see that a person is being lead from a tower that is under threat from lightening and that this person is being lead away by their guardian angel who is holding a bright flame to guide their way. The tower is shrouded in darkness. The appearance of lightening could translate to a "lightening bulb moment" whereby you know that you cannot continue on your current path in life and need to make significant changes,

Other symbolism on the card includes a sand timer (showing the passage of time and how quickly it is running out), and a plant similar to ivy ( a symbol of intellectual achievement in ancient Rome and used in wreaths that were awarded to winners of competitions such as the Olympics). An orange butterfly is also included and symbolises transformation and growth, passion and courage, intuition and also idealism and bliss.

The number 16 in Angel Numbers relates to spiritual growth, harmony and balance.

The three focus words on the card are: Realization, Life change and Liberation.

Some people fear change and can find it challenging, but, it can lead you to a place that is much happier and brings great blessings. So, if you feel you are being lead to make changes in your life, leave behind old belief systems, people or situations that make you unhappy, this card is advising you to have faith and follow this guidance and intuition.

A global need for some healing energy, if you haven't yet tried a Reiki Session, it might be worth doing so 💚

As always, I found a recurring theme throughout the card readings yesterday at the Holistic and Angel Fair in Bundoran.

Everyone asked about their health, and I used the Archangel Raphael Oracle Card deck to assist in following each persons own intuition about their health.

Raphael is associated with the medical and healing professions, and he uses his green energy in helping the healing process.

Overall advice that came out was as follows:
- Listen to the messages that your body is giving you
- contact your G.P
- Get a second opinion if you feel that you are not being listened to
- attend any medical appointments that you are given and have your questions prepared in advance
- follow up on any scans and further procedures
- complementary therapies can sometimes assist in improving our physical and emotional health, e.g, reiki, reflexology, acupuncture, etc. It may be worth trying a few out to see which one works best for you.
- fresh air, getting out in nature, reducing stress, meditation, detoxing from foods and beverages that don't agree with us

And of course, call on your Guardian Angels and Archangel Raphael to help support you in making healthy changes.
