I am so grateful and excited to be shortlisted for the Future Makers Award 2024.🎉
I am thrilled to have been shortlisted alongside such talented individuals in the Emerging Makers Category.
Thanks so much Design & Crafts Council Ireland for the opportunity.
I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to connect with such an exceptional group of creatives at the awards ceremony.
This year’s competition saw an impressive range of entries from all around Ireland, with each one demonstrating a unique approach to creating beautiful and functional works of art.

I am a professional Irish Enamelist /Artist and create a variety of Copper Enamelled Glass Art specialising in personalised bespoke gift pieces.

My work consists of Unique Handcrafted Gifts created from Recycled Copper, Engraved by hand and Fired with Enamel Glass, such as wall art / jewellery and large abstract acrylic paintings.

Enameling is a rare and ancient craft dating back to the 13th century BC.
The craft has gradually faded over the years, making my artwork exceedingly rare.
Enamel can be made up of either Powdered or Liquid glass that is fused onto copper from recycled cylinders using an enamelling kiln at 800 degrees Celsius.
In the making of each piece there are several complex processes.

In my artwork, sustainability is crucial because I use recycled copper cylinders.
By incorporating recycled materials like copper cylinders, I am not only reducing waste but also giving new life to these materials, showcasing the importance of environmental consciousness in art.
It's a fantastic way to promote sustainability and raise awareness through my creative work.

Hello 🤗
I just wanted to introduce myself to any new followers on here .❣️
I am a professional Irish Enamelist /Artist from the West of Ireland.🇮🇪
I create a variety of Copper Enameled Glass Art specialising in personalized bespoke gift pieces.🎨

My work is of contemporary nature and consists primarily of Handcrafted Gifts created from Copper and Fired with Enamel glass, such as Wall Art / Jewellery and Large Abstract Textured Acrylic Paintings🌟

Enameling is a rare and ancient craft dating back to the 13th century BC. The craft has gradually faded over the years making my artwork exceedingly rare.
Enamel can be made up of either Powdered or Liquid glass that is fused onto copper from recycled cylinders using an enameling kiln at 800 degrees Celsius. 🔥

In the making of each piece there are several complex processes that must be carried out.
Great care must be taken with each step of the process, because if one goes wrong the piece must be started again from the beginning. These processes take years of practice to master not forgetting the vast knowledge of each type of enamel.

I began studying Art & Design in GMIT Galway and finally received a Master’s in Multidisciplinary Printmaking with Distinction from UWE Bristol.📖

Upon receiving my MA degree, I was also awarded the Clifford Moss Memorial award for the most unique and outstanding student of the year, whose work was distinguished by the quality of making skills.

Each piece is bespoke and individually handcrafted for my customers. I developed my own Enamel Glass firing technique and it also helps in reducing waste by utilizing old non-functioning household copper cylinders.♻️

Each piece can be personalized with your own message and perfect for any occasion.
My technique allows me to create unique and vibrant decorate eye catching pieces that are fade resistant. These pieces have the power to enhance one’s mood and capture unique life events.💕

Please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for your continued love and support ❤️

The wonderful barn, Leixlip, Co kildare.
Completed in 1743, this barn stands seven stories and 22 metres high. Once part of the Castletown House Estate, its one of Irelands more unusual buildings. Credit
