Dom Joly sets off on his travels again, immersing himself in the strange world of conspiracies. Did we really land on the moon? Was Paul McCartney cloned? Nowadays, however, in the aftermath of Donald Trump, a global pandemic and the ever-increasing influence of social media algorithms, they are part of the body politic and a massive cause of division and mistrust. In The Conspiracy Tourist Dom Joly sets out on a global journey to find out what's going on.

✨January Event ✨
Immrama proudly presents:
ATTENTION ALL SHIPPING -
A CELEBRATION OF THE SHIPPING FORECAST
As the solemn, rhythmic intonation of the shipping forecast turns 100 years old, bestselling author and award-winning broadcaster Charlie Connelly’s hilarious and informative one-man show brings the quirky broadcast vividly to life as never before.
How did a weather forecast for ships capture the hearts of a nation, from salty old sea dog to insomniac landlubber? How is it possible for ‘rain later’ to be ‘good’? And where the hell is North Utsire?
Delving into the history of the forecast and telling the stories of the geniuses and crackpots who made it, Charlie explains what the forecast’s curious phrases actually mean, charts its wide cultural impact way beyond just predicting the weather, shares riproaring adventures from his own extraordinary journey through the 31 sea areas, and presents his case for the shipping forecast being our proudest achievement.
Inspired by Charlie’s bestselling book, which has sold more than a quarter-of-a-million copies worldwide, this pacy, informative, moving and hilarious show takes you from Viking to South-East Iceland via Hebrides, Fastnet and German Bight to ensure the shipping forecast will never, ever sound the same again.
