Jimmy Deenihan welcomed Katrin & Frans Somers to Sheehan's Storytelling Cottage today. Katrin runs the Erasmus Storytelling Programme in her school in Ernst Germany. She has invited Maria Gillen Story Seeds to deliver a Storytelling / Story Making programme to her students that range in age from 10 - 18 years old. It is a very popular course and Maria has now delivered it 3 times at Katrin's school. It was BRILLIANT to see the Somers come to our 300 year old Storytelling Cottage and for Katrin to offer a Germanic Story to our ever growing archive of stories, songs and music on our YouTube Channel❤️🔥

We are delighted to announce a Rambling House inside the 300 year old Story Walls of Sheahan's Storytelling Cottage on Friday 6th October 2023 from 8:30 to 10:30. Bring your songs, your stories, your music and your dance to this cottage where there are 300 years worth of Rambles in the Walls!!

We are DELIGHTED that a group of Storytellers added to the Story Treasure in our cottage on the 17th September around the fire in Sheahan's Storytelling Cottage. Maria Gillen follows the Bean Feasa way of co-creating stories in community. She made this story with the Forest School Ireland in 2020 😊❤️ she calls it Sean Nós Sheila and the Unknown Forest💚🍀

This gorgeous traditional tale was told to us by Liverpudlian Maria Whatton - her Dad told her Irish tales growing up and this one is a deliciously dark tale about the attempted 'taking' of a human child by the Sidhe 😊❤️🙏
