🎼The Boyne Music Festival runs until Sunday, 28th July with a programme of concerts, workshops, talks and tours of historic Townley Hall to enjoy.

🧸 LoveDrogheda will host a Teddy Bear Party themed Family Fun Day this Saturday, 27th July. Join them outside St Peter’s Church, West Street... don’t forget to bring along your favourite teddies!

🚶‍♂️ Community Historian Brendan Matthews will present a History & Heritage Walk n Talk in Drogheda next Wednesday, July 31st. Free event, and all are welcome to attend on the evening.

Old Mellifont Abbey in Co. Louth, founded by Saint Malachy in 1142, was Ireland's first Cistercian monastery. This hidden treasure has numerous impressive architectural features, the most notable of which is the elegant two-storey octagonal lavabo.

Some lovely events lined up this week...

🚶 1st Friday Walking Tour of the Seekdundalk murals takes place at 11.30 this morning. Hear about the artists and discover the history and unique stories behind the pieces they have created. With plenty of craic along the way!

🎨 The 4th annual Louth Plein Air Art Festival takes place in Ravensdale on Saturday 6th July and in Drogheda town on Sunday 7th July. A relaxed two full days of painting outside in great locations.

🌺 The The Cottage Market Drogheda takes place on July 6th with lots of local food and craft stalls for you to enjoy.

🎈 Anniversary celebrations for Drogheda Museum and the Old Drogheda Society take place on Sunday 7th July with something for everyone including entertainment from local musicians, artists showcasing their work, children’s entertainment, and food trucks!

🎭 Chapterhouse present their outdoor theatre Beauty and the Beast at the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre on Thursday 11th July. This is an extremely popular event so don't forget to book your tickets.

🎻 Seisiún, a series of Summer Shows in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol during July and August, promises a great night’s entertainment featuring traditional music, song and dance!

🌞 The countdown is on for the Boyne Midsummer Festival Drogheda which will take place from June 21st to 23rd 🌞

The 3-day event will feature a day-to-night programme with something to suit all audiences.

🎠 During the afternoons, Drogheda will burst with including fairground rides, petting zoo, music, performers, and vibrant riverside market featuring a special feature from The Cottage Market Drogheda.

🎤 On the Friday evening, the festival will kick off on stage at Drogheda Port with “The Stowaway Sessions”, an intimate performance featuring Jerry Fish accompanied by Cian Boylan and supported by SJ McArdle all set against the backdrop of the iconic Boyne Viaduct.

🎻 “Night Moves Midsummer Trad Trail” a late-evening programme of live musicians in pubs and venues will take place throughout the town each night.

🎼 Music At The Gate will return under the shadow of Laurences Gate on Saturday 22nd.

🎸 An evening “Busk at Dusk” program will see a variety of buskers keeping the streets alive with music on Friday 21st.

🖍 Scotch Hall shopping centre are running a colouring competition with some incredible prizes, plus workshops and meet & greets.

🚶‍♂️ Urban Art Trail Mythological guided tours will also take place on each of the three days.
