As soon as I heard there were flights from Cork to Sardinia, I knew I had to pay a visit! 😆
We recently stayed in Alghero, a coastal city in Sardinia, for a week. During the week we got the chance to explore it’s winding streets, vast sandy beaches and stunning viewpoints to gaze at Alghero’s beauty. 🌅
Alghero is the perfect place to explore on foot, by bike, or even by electric scooter! Alghero is a great place to sample Italian cuisine, while also getting to visit a different part of Italy, away from the mainland! 🇮🇹🍝

I have years of experience of booking camping holidays in France, Spain, Italy and the list goes on! I have stayed on campsites with my family a countless amount of times in France, so I know the ins and outs of the best campsites fit for your needs. And in recent months have added to my visited campsites list whilst on holidays in Lake Garda, Italy, where I toured around our local area to research these campsites for myself! 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇪🇸
One of my favourite campsites in France would have to be Domaine des Ormes. We liked it so much we were keen to revisit it years later. They have a fun filled indoor pool facility called the Dome, with a children’s pool, slides, wave pool, a wild river which winds outside into yet another pool, and endless shows and activities always taking place within the Dome! The Dome is only the first of four pool facilities on site at Domaine Des Ormes 🏊! The fun doesn’t stop there, the campsite also offers other activities such as zip lining, archery, golf, horse riding, kids club, shows and other live entertainment, but that is only the beginning of the very long list! There are numerous walking routes near the campsite which are the perfect way to see the local area and to stretch the legs. There is an accommodation option for every family with everything the need and want! 🇫🇷⛺️
Another thing I love about camping in Europe is getting to tour around the areas close to your campsite. Especially while we were camping in Lake Garda, we got to see beautiful towns and even cities like Verona, and close by also was Milan and Venice- the perfect sightseeing destinations!

Orlando, Florida is the perfect family summer holiday destination! 🇺🇸
The theme parks are a definite highlight for the kids. Disney World Orlando is one of the biggest attractions! With 4 different parks on offer, the fun never stops! From numerous attractions to endless entertaining shows and parades and even getting to meet your favourite Disney characters, there is never a dull moment and is sure to keep the kids happy! For the older kids there is Universal Studios, another huge attraction in Orlando! With more adrenaline filled rides and experiences this park is sure to keep you on your toes. One of the parks includes Volcano Bay, a themed waterpark which is perfect for those hot days when you want to cool down and still have fun! 🎢

My family and I just returned from Lake Garda, a destination I have sold a few times but never visited myself. It was safe to say it lived up to every expectation!
We stayed in Del Garda Village, walking distance from the centre of Peschiera del Garda. The campsite itself was everything we needed, so close to the town and had everything from a supermarket, to two pools, to a range of sports facilities, like tennis, football and table tennis⚽️🎾🏓!
Only a 15 minute walk away from the train station and the ferry port, we were never limited to just Peschiera. We made day trips to Verona to see the colosseum, Juliet’s house and balcony and for some retail therapy. Another trip was to Sirmione on the ferry, where you could spent hours strolling around, either on the beach or on the winding streets of this beautiful town.
A highlight for the kids was the theme parks🎢. They first went to Gardaland and came back buzzing after a day of adrenaline filled rollercoaster rides and more exciting attractions. A few days later it was off to Movieland, another park not much further away. I joined them on this trip with the rides a little more tame and within my comfort zone 😅. The shows and the attractions combined made for a great day out!
Within Peschiera we were never bored. We rented two bikes for the week and started almost every day with a cycle! Peschiera was the perfect location to eat out for dinner with numerous restaurants to choose from, cafés for a light bite during the day, and plenty gelato places to treat yourself to afterwards! With the town being so close to the water there are so many ways to take advantage of the lake right at your doorstep. Like renting kayaks, pedalos with slides, paddle boards and more! Even just taking a dip in the cool refreshing water is perfect.🌊🚣♀️
Our week by Lake Garda was the perfect holiday to relax, have fun and see new sights! There is so much more we didn’t get the chance to see, and I would happily revisit in a heartbeat.
