Myself and my husband Mark fell in love with the Station House on summer holiday visits to Miltown Malbay over the last 20 + years. Therefore, when it eventually came on the market, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase and renovate it. We both have strong links the railway, Marks dad was a train driver, and my grandfather was a guard. Our accommodation will suit

Our Story

Myself and my husband Mark fell in love with the Station House on summer holiday visits to Miltown Malbay over the last 20 + years. Therefore, when it eventually came on the market, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase and renovate it. We both have strong links the railway, Marks dad was a train driver, and my grandfather was a guard. One year later: the first stage of the renovations (the complete refurbishment of the inside of the Station House itself) are almost complete, and if I do say so myself - it is looking good! We are have renovated 4 of the 8 ensuite bedrooms in the guest compartment (based partly in the old goods shed and the adjacent extension to same). We also renovated one of the bedrooms into a self catering kitchen (all my guests love it. It is very well stocked with all the kitchen essentials). Who will our accommodation suit? Our accommodation will suit * surfers and all those interested in sea related activities (we will have a room to store/dry out your gear); * music lovers (sing songs/sessions encouraged); * those who would like to be within a short 5 minute walk (along a footpath) into Miltown Malbay; * the budget conscious traveller who is looking for comfortable, clean and convenient accommodation.
