We're hiring! Established in 1990, Kingspan Century is one of the leading providers of offsite construction and engineered timber systems, offering a range of insulated and airtight structural solutions.

We're looking for general operatives for our Century sites in Carrickmacross and Monaghan Town.

As a general operative you will be trained in several areas on the manufacturing lines within the manufacturing facility working as part of a team to ensure the line runs effectively, while providing the correct levels of quality, safety and housekeeping.

You'll be responsible for:
Monitoring all aspects of health and safety, near miss and safety concern reporting
Operating machinery using touch screen panels
Working in a safe manner in accordance with all information, instruction, training and supervision provided

You'll also have the opportunity to improve the running of the line and actively participate in reviewing and updating processes.

Key Skills;
Previous experience working in a factory/ manufacturing process environment
Ability to read manufacturing drawings
Basic understanding of touch screen technology
FLT license holder desirable, however not essential as training can be provided
Saw training is also preferred but can be given if the application is successful

Hours of work: Mon to Thu 08:00 to 16:30, Friday is 08:00 to 15:30

Our thanks to LA519 for facilitating QPR training for members of our team recently. This invaluable training teaches the steps to use to help save a life from su***de.

Our team found the session really raised their awareness and instilled confidence in supporting someone going through mental health difficulties.

'Building the Future'
Introducing the Construction Industry Federation Schools Challenge 2021/2022 for Senior Cycle students.

The challenge invites students to plan, design and market a new residential development that is environmentally friendly and designed to enhance the wellbeing of the community.

Congratulations to our colleague Kieran Kearns on his recent appointment as Manager of the Monaghan Ladies Senior Gaelic Football Team for 2022. Our best wishes to Kieran, management and the players for the season ahead.

Monaghan Ladies County Board are delighted to announce the appointment of Kieran Kearns as Senior Manager for 2022 season..

Kieran has been ratified as the new Monaghan co senior manager for Crest--MonaghanLGFA2022. Having been approved by Monaghan LGFA’s executive at a meeting on Tuesday last, the clubs formally ratified the executive’s recommendation without hesitation.

Kieran hails from the Scotshouse area having played his club football with Clones GFC and Currin GFC. He also played minor at county level.
When he ceased his playing days with Currin, Kieran moved into the managerial arena. Beginning as a selector for the Currin Senior Men’s team in 2019 and moving to manager for the 20/21 seasons. Kieran brings plenty of football experience and skill, though mostly in the GAA, he is very keen to broaden his portfolio, by expanding into the co ladies’ setup.
Kieran also brings a wealth of experience in his backroom team with former co senior player Declan McKernan as his lead coach, Pauric Smyth, Darren Chapman and strength and conditioning coach Shane Rice compliment the management training team. Fionnuala Sherlock will act as Liaison officer.
Monaghan Co ladies are delighted with the appointment and wish Kieran and his management the very best of luck for the year ahead.

This week our staff are delighted to be raising funds for a very worthy cause, local organisation LA519. LA519 is a non-profit organisation that aims to improve access to support for young people who are struggling with their feelings.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with GOAL, the international humanitarian response agency, to support them in their transformative work across the world while promoting our Planet Passionate sustainability goals. In collaboration with GOAL, we are providing expertise and products, along with financial contributions, to develop critical infrastructure in healthcare and education.

In the first year of the partnership, we are joining forces to build a new wing at an important hospital in Puerto Cortes, Honduras. The project will be implemented by GOAL’s humanitarian support staff on the ground using Kingspan’s sustainable products and systems to build a state-of-the-art, 24-bed ward for general care in the hospital. The new extension will provide the hospital with increased capacity to provide critical care for patients in a community that has been greatly affected by Covid-19.

The partnership with GOAL is the flagship project in our new philanthropic Planet Passionate Communities programme. Through this initiative, we are proud to be supporting people and communities around the world while promoting sustainable practices using responsibly sourced materials.

We are recruiting for two exciting roles, an Operations Assistant based in Carrickmacross and an Operations Assistant for Maternity cover, based in Monaghan.

The successful candidates will work closely with all members of the Manufacturing team being responsible for a range of administration tasks associated with manufacturing, dispatch, purchasing activities and stock control. The ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential.

ROLE
• Preparation, Administration and tracking of Purchase Orders
• Management of manufacturing documents and KPI recording
• Document control for H&S, procurement and NCR recording
• Recording of minutes at both manufacturing and HR meetings
• Monitoring time & attendance of employees
• Recording / checking arrivals into stock
• Management of stock levels ensuring inventory is sufficient for production needs

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience in operations administration , preferably in a Construction / Engineering background
• Strong administration skills including high proficiency in MS Office Excel

We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Monaghan team. This role will involve interaction with clients, their design team and delivery programmes to coordinate customer designs for manufacture and installation.

You will be responsible for the supervision of the detailing resources and will need to conduct appraisals on architectural drawings ensuring they are adapted into high quality timber frame drawings. You must be able to highlight any changes or cost additions for projects to the wider Kingspan Century team. You will liaise with clients and their design teams to ensure successful delivery of projects from inception to completion, on programme and within budget.

The role will require you to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills. You will have practical experience in the use of AutoCAD in an architectural detailing role, knowledge and experience of building technology and residential building regulations. A recognised qualification in an engineering or architectural field and practical experience in project management would be an advantage.
