Please Note We have just been informed that the 821 bus is delayed by 25-30 minutes due to road surfacing works in Milltown and Allen. It is still able to pick up passengers at these stops but they have to detour to continue the route. Apologies for any inconvenience caused

The 11:35 AM Service from Newbridge Bord Na Mona Stop will now start at 11:37 AM from Newbridge Rail Station.
The 15:15 PM Service from Newbridge Bord Na Mona Stop will now start at 15:17 PM from Newbridge Rail Station.
The 10.25 and 13:45 PM Service from Sallin’s Train Station will now terminate at 11.30 & 14:50 PM at Newbridge Rail Station instead of Newbridge Bord Na Mona Stop.

The next stop is Curragh Grange is directly in front of Curragh Grange shopping centre
The next stop is Green Road which is between entrances to The Village and Moore Park
The next stop is Moorefield Crescent which is directly opposite Tesco carpark
The next stop is Newbridge Retail which is directly opposite ALDI

June Bank Holiday Weekend Service Operation Days:

DRT Services – DRT Services will not operate on Bank Holiday Monday 03st June 2024.
Services will resume as normal on Tuesday 04th June l 2024.

RRS Services –
The following RRS Services will operate as normal up to Sunday 2nd June 2024 and will operate to the Sunday timetable on Bank Holiday Monday 03rd June 2024
880 – Carlow to Naas to Carlow
821 – Newbridge to Sallin’s Train Station
892 Newbridge to Kilcullen & Dunlavin
883 – Athy to Newbridge will be in service as normal up to and including Saturday 1st June 2024 and will resume on Tuesday 04th June 2024.

Please NOTE on Saturday 1st June All Pickup’s and Drop offs will be from Woodstock Doyles to facilitate the TRI Athy as there will be no access to Barrow Quay stop.

To facilitate the Shackleton Museum restoration works in Athy – Kildare County Council advises that it will close the R417 Offaly Street – from the junction with Emily Square to the junction with Meeting Lane for a period of 12 weeks commencing on Monday 6th May 2024.

During this period, the 883 Athy to Newbridge Service will no longer start and terminate at Barrow Quay.

The service will now start opposite the CI Bar in Leinster Street and terminate outside the CI Bar on Leinster Street.

Due to mechanical difficulties the 883 Athy to Newbridge could not operate on the first two services this morning. The issue has been resolved and the service will now resume in Newbridge at 9.25 this morning. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Take the Local Link bus to the train station.

Due to a mechanical failure at Crookstown earlier this morning on the 880 Carlow to Naas service, delays may be experienced on the service for a short time. The service is back running again now so please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

We also offer door-to-door services in the more rural areas where in most cases we can collect and return passengers to their homes with a semi-flexible transport service

Local Link Kildare South Dublin co-ordinate Local Transport Services across the region Kildare South Dublin with a mix of Demand Responsive (Door to Door) and High Frequency Services (Rural - Urban Connectors) with fully accessible vehicles including low floor models on certain routes.

During College terms, there are daily services to Maynooth University from Rathangan, Allenwood, Robertstown and Kilmeague. With single, daily and weekly fares are available on these University services.

Kildare South Dublin also operate a number of services on behalf the HSE and KARE in the delivery of daily services to a number Day Care Centres across the region.

Local Link Kildare South Dublin also offer a "Bookabus" service or bus hire for outings or social events.
