Hello all. Just to make everyone aware of a new travel visa that has come into effect when travelling to Northern Ireland. It is called the ETA. It has been brought in since early January so if you are travelling over the border from the Republic to Northern Ireland and are spending some time in the North you will need this Travel Visa. Here Is a Blog we have put together on our website www.customirishtours.com with a link to the Visa. The price of the visa for people from the USA 🇺🇸 is around €15.00 dollars. There is no physical border between The North and the Republic of Ireland but you may be asked to provide the visa when checking into a Hotel or at a tourist site.

Kells is a designated heritage town because it is steeped in fascinating history. It is of course most well-known as the place where the world-famous Book of Kells originated and there are three high quality facsimile copies exhibited in the town. One can be found in Kells Courthouse Tourism and Cultural Hub (one of the main tourism information centres in Co Meath), another is in St Columba's Church on the monastic site and the third is displayed pride of place in the foyer of the Headfort Arms Hotel. What a wonderful morning at Newgrange passage Tomb for Winter Solstice. Truly a magical and Mystical experience at this Magnificent Passage Tomb which is Aligned to the Winter Solstice. Although the Sun did not come out at exactly 8.58am it came out shortly afterwards to enlighten the passageway for the lucky Lottery Winners inside.
