Throughout that time, Margaret and her experienced team have continually risen to every challenge they have encountered. This year marks 25 years in business for Dermot Kehoe's DIY & Homeware store, and it is also a double celebration as the much-loved Christmas Family Fun Experience is making its annual return this Saturday (30th Nov, Santa arriving at 11:45am), offering families and visitors a magical Winterland experience.....100% of the proceeds go to support the amazing work of New Ross Meals on Wheels. 🎅✨

Amidst the challenges facing small businesses across the country, it’s important to celebrate the bright success stories that keep communities going. Three years ago, Jade Dunphy opened Wipe Your Paws, and today she and her talented team members, Nikita Long-Whitty and Kirstin Colfer, are celebrating the success of choosing New Ross as the place to do business - Wipe your paws has built upon a real passion for animal care and a commitment to providing a warm, safe environment for pets, they have attracted a strong and loyal client base, making their grooming parlour a real success for the town and bringing more footfall to the Woodbine industrial estate.
Well done Jade, a great role model for young entrepreneurs in the town....and as Wipe Your Paws continues to grow, we'd like to offer congratulations to Jade and her team on their fantastic success!
Linda Kelly - Civic Reception
This evening, a civic reception was held in the Thosel to celebrate Irish Olympic hero Linda Kelly. The New Ross native made the town(....and nation) proud by winning both Paralympic gold and silver at last month’s Paris games.
An incredible achievement for Linda and her teammate, Katie-George Dunlevy....Well done Linda and family on the outstanding success!
New Ross Sporting Hall Of Fame - Sophie Becker
Each year, our town is proud to witness the incredible talents and dedication of our many athletes. To honour these exceptional individuals, we are excited to announce the launch of the Apex Sporting Hall of Fame, recognition for those who have excelled in their chosen fields and brought pride to our community.
We are particularly excited to announce our inaugural inductee as Sophie Becker - fresh from her incredible performances at the Paris Olympic games, where her team secured an impressive 4th place in the final, and silver medal at the European Championships. Sophie perfectly embodies the spirit of determination and excellence that the new 'Sporting Hall of Fame' is designed to celebrate. It's fair to say the next generation won't have to look outside the town for inspiration from sporting role models, " added Apex GM Mark Winkle.
Sophie expressed her delight at receiving this recognition.
