Destination New Ross is delighted to annouce Nolan Transport Supply Chain office boost of up to 50 jobs for New Ross.
Nolan transport investment have opened their Supply Chain Division Customs office on the Quay in New Ross, bringing 30 jobs into the town with the possibility of 20 more over the coming years.

Baginbun Norman Festival are running a Festival on Sunday, September 5th in Baginbun Fethard on sea, Wexford. The event will explore the Normans’ victory over the local forces who fought them on their arrival in Baginbun in 1170.

This being one of the most significant events in Irish history. Starting at 1pm, the main focal point of the day will centre around an unveiling of a new monument by the French Ambassador, Vincent Guérend which commemorates the Norman landing.

Due to Covid restrictions, tickets are limited but they are now available through the link on their page. If you could please share.

Destination New Ross are delighted to announce details of 2021 Kennedy Summer School which will take place in New Ross this September from 3rd to 4th and that will have a lineup of guest speakers for the annual festival of Irish and American history, culture and politics.

Congratulations to the board of on the official opening of the The Ros Tapestry exhibition in Kilkenny Castle.

The tapestries will be on display for all to see in Kilkenny Castle until the New Norman Centre in New Ross (in the Murphy Building) is ready to house this beautiful and historical exhibition. 😊

Bird's eye view of the old Royal Hotel site soon to be the new Norman Gardens.

The design of the new public park is influenced by the design of Norman Gardens and celebrate the lives of William Marshall and Isabel de Clare.

The park will also integrate with the fabric of New Ross as a tourist attraction. It will provide views over the River Barrow towards the Dunbrody replica Ship and the new €6m plus Norman visitor centre at the Murphy and Bank buildings on the quay.

This project seeks to create new connections through the site, connecting the North Quay to High Hill and Church Street, as well as re-imagining the historical route between Bridge Street and the Irishtown and the Bulllawn.

Exciting times ahead. :)
