The East Clare Coop in conjunction with Clare Local Development Company SICAP are seeking volunteers to part take in the Fáilte Isteach community project.
This involves volunteers welcoming migrants through conversational English classes.
Training is provided in the form of a 3 hour online module.

This is a not-for-profit festival of ideas taking place on the 4th and 5th of September at the cultural and historical crossing point of the River Shannon in Ballina Killaloe.

The East Clare Co-op is delighted to let the community know that we have been awarded funding from Healthy Clare Clare County Council Microfund 2024 for QiGong & Tai Chi in the community garden starting August 24th.
Nadine Buttery has been delivering Qigong and Tai Chi for health and well-being in Limerick for the past 20 years. Her classes are designed to accommodate adults of all ages and fitness levels to offer life skills, which improve physical fitness and strength, awaken cognitive and emotional agility, and support a calmer, more peaceful default position in day-to-day life. This is done by teaching students to coordinate body, mind and breath in gentle movements and poses. Nadine teaches with a fun, light-hearted touch, bringing her students to a place of empowerment, peace and connection.

For your comfort, dress in loose comfortable, layered clothing, soft shoes or runners. Bring a bottle of water. If you prefer to go barefoot, please bring along your own matt and please arrive on time.
If you have any medical conditions that would be affected by exercise, check with your physician before enrolling and let your teacher know if there are any adjustments required to accommodate health requirements.
