Spring has arrived in Ireland, bringing with it the celebration of Imbolc or St. Brigid’s Day! 🌸✨

Marked by crafting Brigid’s crosses from folded reeds, traditionally people adorn these crosses on doors and windows for protection against negativity. Offerings of food, drink, or a welcoming space are left out for Brigid. As one of Ireland’s three patron saints, Brigid blesses households on her feast day, the 1st of February, marking the start of the spring season with renewal and protection. 🌿💚

Mount Brandon, located on the stunning Di**le Peninsula in Co. Kerry, is where heritage and breathtaking scenery collide.

Named after St. Brendan the Navigator, a 6th-century monk, it is said he saw ‘The Promised Land’ from its summit. Legend has it that this inspired his voyage to North America in a boat made of wood and leather. Along the Saints Trail of Mount Brandon, you’ll find 12 crosses, each depicting a station of the cross leading to its summit.

Uncover another world on Omey Island 🌊✨

This tidal island off the coast of Connemara is a treasure trove of history, beauty, and serenity. Accessible only during low tide, Omey feels like a hidden secret waiting to be discovered.

Near its northern coast lies the 7th-century ruins of Teampaill Feichin (St. Feichin’s Church), built on the site of an early Christian settlement. Remarkably, the church remained buried under sand until its rediscovery in 1981. Surrounding it are the haunting remnants of a semi-submerged village, lost during the Great Famine.
