Lough Hyne is a haven of biodiversity and a rare gem in Ireland’s marine habitats.

As the country’s only marine nature reserve, it’s connected to the Atlantic Ocean through a narrow channel while remaining beautifully sheltered from the open sea. This unique environment is teeming with life, hosting a wide variety of sea sponges, anemones, sea squirts, and an impressive 72 fish species.

Nothing compares to the magic of an authentic Irish music session.

Our travellers often say these spontaneous moments are the ones they’ll remember most — the joy of being in a lively pub, a pint of Guinness in hand, while the sounds of traditional Irish tunes fill the air.

We’ve even had guides join in with sessions, playing their instruments of choice.

Have you experienced a trad session with us?

Perched atop the majestic Knocknarea Mountain in County Sligo, this ancient burial site is believed to be the final resting place of the legendary Queen Maeve of Connacht. Legend has it that inside, Maeve was buried, standing upright in full armour, spear in hand, facing her enemies in Ulster.

Knocknarea’s cairn, which dates to the Neolithic period, has never been excavated by archaeologists—such is the fear of her wrath!

Hike to the top through an enchanting forest for stunning panoramic views and step back in time to where myth and history collide.
