We've a great selection of craft and food stalls. The World's 1st Self Catering Pub Conroy's Old Bar will be transformed into a pop up tearoom where you can enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake or perhaps even treat yourself to afternoon tea. There's fun and games to be had for the little ones in Tinkerin Myndz with their mini workshops and face painting. And don't forget the Cottage Garden Craftworks & World of Fairies Workshop will be open too if you fancy discovering the workshops of the little folk.

There's some mighty fishing to be had in the nearby Lough Derg when staying in The World's 1st Self Catering Pub - Conroy's Old Bar.

One of Cedric Charpentiers Guests from France staying in Terryglass caught this 80cm monster today on Lough Derg!! They are fishing for Pike and had many over 90 to 105cm this was yhe 4th trout over 60cm in the past 3 days.

It's not very often that we get snow here in North Tipperary and if we do, it's normally gone by lunchtime.
This is our 1st proper settling of snow this year and of course, Murphy's law, it comes on the day when the ESB are doing maintenance work, so we have no electricity between 9am and 5pm 🙄
But it does look pretty don't you think?...

At The World's 1st Self Catering Pub, Conroy's Old Bar we appreciate that times are hard for a lot of people at the moment.
Everything has increased; mortgage payments, rent, fuel ,insurance, food, it's all shot up in price.
Which in turn means that a lot of people are having to think twice about taking a well needed break or holiday, a chance to recharge those batteries and something exciting to look forward to.

So, we've decided NOT to increase our prices.
Our prices will once again remain the same as in 2017.

Please note though, as the whole property is on the market for sale, we cannot guarantee any new owner will either wish to carry on renting out Conroy's Old Bar, or that they will not increase the prices.

Hidden behind a tall wall and solid black drive gates the garden at Conroy's Old Bar has always been a labour of love for us.
When we bought the property nearly 19years ago there wasn't a single flower in the tree lined garden, as the whole garden was a sand arena for the former owners horses.
More recently the garden has not only welcomed travellers from around the globe whilst staying in Conroy's Old Bar, but in between guests, it has also hosted many children's workshops, parties and summer camps for Tinkerin Myndz and this summer it was also the location for The World's 1st Self Catering Pubs very first Craft and Food Fair, which was a great success.
Unfortunately, most recently during a very stormy night, the young herd of cattle that had been grazing in the back field were spooked and broke in through the fencing.
Unable to find their way back out in the dark, they spent the next few hours trampling and munching their way around the garden.
As you can imagine, a herd of cattle can make an awful lot of mess in a very short space of time and once daylight broke and we'd finally managed to get the last of the cattle out of the garden, the amount of damage became quite obvious.
Over the last few weeks, for those seeing the garden for the first time, it's still receives an unexpected "wow", which is great, especially in winter when it really isn't looking it's best.
But for us, knowing what it had been, and to see it now, it really has been heart breaking. It's been hard to even want to venture out there.

But this morning, after seeing the daffodils florishing once again and then this beautiful sight it really did turn things around.
Mother nature really is wonderful! 😊

The Fairy Garden & World of Fairies at Cottage Garden Craftworks. workshop is currently open on request, but watch out on our page for our Christmas opening times when not only will you be able to browse around our enchanting little workshop, but you'll also be able to soak up the atmosphere whilst sitting by the fire with a cuppa and a mince pie in The Worlds 1st Self Catering Pub/The Pub With No Beer - Conroy's Old Bar.
